My latest new entry, the Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4, seemed very promising when I first tried it. I even wanted to review it against my current A-class king, the ZR1. But after starting the statistics, I saw that its level is way below the Chevy's. That's why I picked my other A-class favorite as the Lambo's opponent for this review, the Pagani Huayra. So this one's for survival in my list of best cars.
6 races in a row, Classic Season day #8, starting at 1888 points, full boosters
10 points for 1st place, 6 points for 2nd, 4 for 3rd, 3 for 4th, 2 for 5th and 1 for 6th
The Lambo is really good for relatively flat tracks like Alps or Azure Coast, but bad for bouncy ones like French Guiana. It can't be outrun if leading the field, but can get stuck in the traffic when fighting its way to the front of the field bc it's brought out of its balance too easily. Only on fast countryside tracks like Transylvania, it's also good for outrunning opponents.
The nitro efficiency and start acc are Ok, but could be better. The Lambo is sharp and fast in full drift. But all in all, it doesn't feel really reliable for everyday use.
The Pagani is more stable in turmoils with other cars than the Lambo. It's a little weaker in performance, but still almost as strong as the SSIE. A big disadvantage on some tracks is that the Pagani with its large drift radius is also slow in full drift.
But it's precise on narrow city tracks like Dubai or Munich, yet quick on fast tracks like Terra 9 or Tenerife. Of course it's not as easy to stay in front as with the Lambo, but with a little concentration you can manage your lead with the Pagani, too.
Summary
Whereas the Lambo kills your self-esteem, the Pagani grants you additional confidence. Even though the cars are similarly strong, and the difference is only 1 point on the MP-winning scale, the Pagani is way above the Lambo on my feel-good scale. The Lambo is more a specialist for some tracks, but the Pagain is an allrounder and can win on almost any track.
