^What I can deduce from the results above is that (1) the Corvette C3 isn't actually as good as I think it is, and (2) I also probably wasn't driving the Corvette C3 as well as I could have been.
The Acura NSX 2005 and BMW M3 Sedan seem to be the overall best cars in the D1230 rank bracket, based on my results above... They have really good handling and drifting, which is the main factor propelling them to the top, above, for example, the Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG.
The Corvette C3 has stronger acceleration than the NSX 2005, which is why I've tended to rate it higher; in Multiplayer, Corvette C3s seem to dominate the D1230 rank bracket. However, my personal favourite car for the D1230 rank bracket in Multiplayer is actually the NSX 2005; this might mean that I'm particularly skilled at driving this car in comparison to the others. Nonetheless, it does seem that the NSX 2005 is actually a stronger competitor against the C3 than I had previously thought... But I suppose that the C3's acceleration advantage is more noticeable in Multiplayer mode, where acceleration determines who takes the lead at the very beginning of the race.

I think that it is important to have a personal feeling for the car and the ability to use its advantages. C3 is better than 55 amg, but I won the most races in ST with 55 amg slk. I have tested all the cars and the Mercedess 55 slk is by far the best for me.🙂

I have tested all the cars and the Mercedess 55 slk is by far the best for me.🙂 Ironically, I think the SLK 55 AMG is actually better than the Corvette C3 on this particular track, Cloud Nine. Previously, my SLK 55 AMG had a lap-time of 1:25:749, whereas my Corvette C3 was at 1:25:947. The Corvette C3 has only just recently caught up, with a new lap-time of 1:25:716. Admittedly, this is better than the SLK 55 AMG's original lap-time (by one frame), but I haven't touched the SLK 55 AMG since its original lap-time (which took a few attempts), whereas I've retried the Corvette C3 many times. I actually took a slightly different route for the Corvette C3 in comparison to all of the other cars... I took a route slightly closer to CHEEKI BREEKI's, in which I skipped the first barrel roll ramp and went straight to the second barrel roll ramp (whereas, usually, I take both of these ramps). I was able to do this since I got an unusually high number of (clean) knockdowns at the start in that particular run... Five, I think. Normally, I can only get around three or four, or else I will crash into the back of someone and slow down. However, due to getting an extra knockdown without slowing down, I was able to push further ahead, and I think this might have improved my lap-time by around one tenth of a second. I've noticed that the Corvette C3 does particularly poorly on this track because it falls to pieces in the cave... It is actually the worst car out of all D1230 cars for taking the cave, due to some weird properties of its handling and drifting. The NSX 2005 and M3 Sedan pass through the cave with ease. Various other cars have an okay time in there. Surprisingly, the FX50 doesn't really suffer too badly in there; I guess since it is an SUV, it can handle dirt roads somewhat. In fact, it is the Corvette C3 that absolutely cannot take this cave... It hits every single bump and either jumps or slows down... It is like driving on a bed of nails.

scr408 - Right on schedule, I have just managed to improve my SLK 55 AMG run by a significant margin... At this rate, I think there is no way that the Corvette C3 can catch up, which means that the SLK 55 AMG wins this time. The SLK 55 AMG is now coming third, after the NSX 2005 and M3 Sedan. It has overtaken the Zoe ESC. I will amend this lap-time to my original post.

scr408 - Scratch that... The SLK 55 AMG is now in fourth place. The car that is coming first is currently the Mazda RX-8 Special Edition. For some reason, in both the first and second screenshots of this car, the car is not actually visible, just the leaderboard. This is because the camera panned away at the moment that I took both of these screenshots. In fact, my lap-time with the RX-8 SE is currently the fastest recorded so far in this entire thread for any D1230 car (granted, I'm meant to be using the Corvette C3 or Furai, rather than the RX-8 SE).

scr408 - Uh, there seems to be a pattern here... I keep drastically improving all of my lap-times. As such, the list of lap-times that I've posted on the previous page in this thread is not extremely accurate... I keep finding little gaps in my runs, which is why none of them is particularly reliable. There is too much fluctuation in the results. I've just improved the lap-time of my Honda S2000 to 1:25:584, equal to the SLK 55 AMG.

Three more runs have been improved... Audi R8 e-tron SE, Porsche 959 and BMW M1. The BMW M1 is currently solidly placed as the second-worst car in the D1230 rank bracket, after the Mazda Furai. I attempted to improve the Chevrolet Corvette C3's run, but I was unable to. The Corvette C3's run is currently solidly the third-worst, which can be attributed to the car's poor handling and drifting.

This is very valuable knowledge.👍🙂 What do you think of the beast, the speed demon Zoe? Worth a pro this car? I've improved several more cars... At the moment, the Furai is still coming last, which is predictable (the reason is that it has the worst nitro efficiency of all D1230 cars by a large margin). Meanwhile, the BMW M1 is coming second-last, which is also predictable (it has decent nitro efficiency but has really flimsy handling). But what is surprising is that the Corvette C3 is currently coming third-last, with no signs of improvement... This is a bit shocking to me. Anyway, as for the Zoe, so far, I like it decently, but not greatly. I still prefer the NSX 2005 over the Zoe... The Zoe is a bit too tall, like a double-decker bus, rather than flat like a Formula One car. The Zoe's stats are generally quite good, but I haven't measured its nitro efficiency or acceleration precisely yet. In my opinion, the Zoe is not worth upgrading purely in order to full-PRO the car... Only upgrade it for Festival tasks or in order to get rid of spare Kit Cards or Optimal Wild Cards. You can look back at my original post to see the order of cars in this FC... it is currently (combined with all other players' runs): - Ronan | 1:25:403 | Non-boosted | Mazda RX-8 SE | D1231

scr408 - If you are wondering why the RX-8 SE is so much further ahead of all of the other cars, this can be attributed to its "alien" handling, which it has largely retained after being reshuffled. At the same time, the RX-8 SE's drifting was nerfed quite a lot, though it's not too bad. The RX-8 SE's nitro efficiency and acceleration aren't necessarily amazing... From what I can tell, it is average or even below average in these areas. When taking the cave route on Cloud Nine, at the very beginning of the cave, the fastest way to pass through this section is to wall-ride the right-hand side of the cave, rather than to stay on the floor or to drift. The RX-8 SE is one of the only cars whose handling is strong enough to complete this manoeuvre. I have a feeling that the Furai can do it too, but the Furai just lacks the nitro efficiency for the task. Basically, while all of the other cars are cruising along the floor or even drifting (such as the Corvette C3; this is one of the drifters), the RX-8 SE is rocketing along the wall.

What in the world happened to this FC ? gipigia when I had asked for a double FC Vette C3 , Furai ? gipigia my bad sorry bro 😵 🤔 Neil 1:26.724 NoBoo Rank 1229
I'm testing out all of the D1230 cars against one another... Furai is the worst, and the Corvette C3 is apparently the third-worst for this track.

I've improved the lap-times of the AR8SE (by a large margin) and Corvette C3 (by a small margin). These changes have been amended to my main post in this thread as well as the main post in the FC 2022 #2 thread.
The AR8SE is now tied-first with the M3 Sedan, at 1:25:287, while the Corvette C3 is still coming third-last by a significant margin (1:25:683).
