Today was more successful. Came close to my personal best possible laptime. On the last day of the season! 🤔
Now I'm wondering what modifications I could have made to the lineup. Probably there's not much or even no headroom to improve. I'll think about it the next time I get Rapid Transit as Defense.

This time with forced barrel! 😎

Problem! I manage to get the forced barrel right so rarely that I'm still in the process of improving my laptime. So there will probably again be no time remaining to tweak the lineup. However, another new personal best today:

Yesterday I got challenged 4 times with my 00:49:796 and won only 3. Today, got challenged 3 times with my 00:49:680, and won all of them.
However, new personal best again today! And still headroom to improve further. 😊
Will continue with the same lineup tomorrow and try to get a 00:49:4xx

This is a decent run, but you are missing one crucial trick which contributes greatly to the lap-time. In the middle of the track, you barrel-rolled off the left ramp, going high up into the air and landing on the sloped road below. However, what I usually do is barrel-roll off the right ramp, going very low, hitting the floor again immediately after the ramp, and then accelerate and drop onto the sloped road. This results in the maximum air speed, whereas taking the normal route slows you down more. This is a dangerous technique and can result in a wreck much of the time, since barrel-rolling low and immediately hitting the ground again is not easy.

I've seen Aditya do it many times, and sometimes I succeed in trying that, too. In my 00:49:532 video, you can still see my 00:49:680 ghost outrun me with that trick, but on the left ramp.

No more luck at The Great Wall Defense! Tried the Centenario instead of the Sián on pos #1, but that didn't work out either. But I'm content with my result this week. Could be worse!

Switched pos #3 from Ultima to Battista. Better nitro efficiency, yet just as quick!

Ronan🌻 Changed the lineup for Ipanema Showdown again. According to your recommendation, I had the Centenario on pos #1 and did a really good first leg on Wednesday.
I was never able to beat my own Centenario ghost with the Centenario since then. So I tried the Divo, just for fun, and I was faster in the very first run already. It has a start advantage against the Centenario and loses only part of it before the switch to the One:1. So I also tried Centodieci, which has even more start advantage, but it loses all of it and more, so the Divo is my best choice.
I don't know whether it's just that my Centenario driving style is not good, though. But I'll stick with the Divo here.
Here is the video, where you can still see my Centenario ghost getting outrun by my Divo:
I think it's the Divo-to-One:1 transition that makes the difference. It's smoother than the Centenario-to-One:1 transition.

I've tried again with the Centenario on pos #1, and I couldn't even get close to the Divo's performance. That one exceptional first leg with the Centenario on Wednesday is not reproducible for me on a regular basis. So this is going to be my permanent Ipanema Showdown lineup:
Divo One:1 Battista

Ronan🌻 Why did you put the Ultima on pos #2 in Oceanview Derby for me? It has a big drift disadvantage at this spot:
Wouldn't the Centenario be a better choice here? Or the One:1?

Wouldn't the Centenario be a better choice here? Or the One:1? This spot can be dealt with by using micro-drift + handling. The main purpose for putting the Ultima RS in pos-#2 is the speed recovery and down-force. When you jump over the staircase, you need both of these things in order to pass through the area as fast as possible (this is much earlier in the position). If you take the ramp instead of the staircase, your lap-time will be slower. Also, after the staircase, there's a barrel roll ramp which you also need to take in order to increase your speed; the Ultima RS is again a good option for this.

I've practiced this particular spot in QSR with the Ultima, and it can be done a whole lot better than I did in my old PB of 00:45:077. Improved to 00:44:846. Also added the barrel roll speed trick on the straight where the buses are, in order to get upstairs. Some other speed tricks I know but had to omit bc there are so many of them in Oceanview Derby that I would need a hundred tries for one clean run, which I don't have in Gauntlet Defense. But I'm content with my peformance now. 😊

Ronan🌻 I'm imagining the Renault Sport R.S. 01, which I got almost @ Pro, to be a good replacement for the McLaren 600LT and MP4-31 in Gauntlet. Would you agree? I'd like to get rid of them unforseeable McLarens.
